Day 5

This morning Jack left Scoop Lake. This is how he let  me know he was on his way. One spot message at scoop Lake and 15 minutes later another spot message further north. He kept them coming until he landed at Whitehorse.

Scoop Lake is located west of Muncho Lake
roughly half way between Hwy 37 and the Alaska Highway

The view from the deck of this lovely little cabin where he spent the night, dined on goat meat and dreamt of float planes. He said the meat was very tasty.

He followed the "Trench"
The Tintina Trench is a large valley extending through Yukon, Canada. It is the northern extension of the Northern Rocky Mountain Trench in British Columbia and it has its origin from the Tintina Fault.

Passed over the Alaska Hwy (Elastic Hwy is what I call it) and is now in Whitehorse. As it turns out he is there just before the Prime Minister  who is stopping on the campaign trail. the airport was a hub of activity!! Jack had to move his little Cessna to make room for the 'big airbus".

Did you know last year when he was flying over the NWP, when they announced the finding of the Franklin Expedition,  Jack was  there just before the PM as well. Who knows one of these days they may come face to face. =)

Tonight he will be spending several hours discussing the merits of Apple technology with his personal Apple technician and friend Sean.  That I am sure will result in the "need" to buy another "new" gadget from Apple.
Have a good time fellas! Remember what happened to Adam when he took a bite of the Apple!
