Today Jack left Kenai as the weather was not getting better and he was told it would improve if he went inland, so, inland he went. He had an amazing visit in Kenai, meeting so many new "friends" and sharing many, many good stories! Watch out folks from Kenai, he may be back.
As he moved north east the clouds became more scattered and visibility was better. He said he is getting his fill of seeing glaciers and by tomorrow will be ready for the new sights of the Fairbanks area.
Tonight Jack is staying at Sheep Mountain Lodge
It was an interesting landing as the lodge was in the process of widening the runway. Thankfully this moose decided to cross the runway after Jack had landed.

I talked briefly to him tonight and asked if he was getting tired of it all and he said "Absolutely not!" OK then ... no need to rush home =)
He said the changing vegetation colors are in full splendour and the countryside is beautiful.
For another night he has a room with a view, can you see the mountains and the colors in the distance?
He said if the weather turned and he had to spend another night there it would be OK with him. Sleep well Captain Jack, out in the wild blue yonder!
Hi Jack! thanks for the posts and updates. I love the pictures and interesting stories. I hope that your travels go well and that you continue to exercise so much patience in terms of waiting for the weather to cooperate. The scenery looks amazing and the pictures are incredibly stunning! Take care and look forward to hearing more once you get back.
